Minutes of the 13th Governing Council Meeting held on 22.10.2020 at 11.30 amin the conference hall.

Dr. V. Gunaraj, Principal, Welcomed the members of the Council and put forward the following agenda for discussion.

  • Confirmation of the minutes of the 12th Governing Council Meeting held on 17.08.2019.
  • To discuss about the process of NAAC second cycle and IIQA submission as per the revised accreditation frame- work.
  • Discuss about the progress of conducting online class and test for students during the lock down period due to Covid -19.
  • To discuss and approve an action plan recommended by the Academic Council for various Academic and Administrative activities.
  • Discuss about the inauguration of Cyber Security Lab on 29.10.2020.
  • To discuss and approve the recommendations of the Academic Council on annual academic and administrative budget.
  • To review the Results of Anna University Exam held during Nov / Dec 2019 & postponement of even semester exam (Apr / May 2020).
  • Discuss about the AICTE, Anna University approval for the academic year 2020-21.
  • Discussed the feedback on curriculum from stakeholders and action taken report on curriculum.
  • Discuss about the faculty organized and attended the webinars in their respective subject area during lock down period.


The Governing Council discussed the above points in detail and the following resolutions were passed:

  • Resolved that the Governing Council unanimously approved the minutes of 12th Governing Council Meeting held on 17.08.2019
  • Resolved that the Governing Council discussed about the submission of AQAR, IIQA and SSR for the academic year 2020-21.
  • Resolved and approved for conducting online classes and internal tests for students to regular touch with the subject.
  • Review and approved the IQAC and Academic Council Meetings conducted during the year 2020-21.
  • Reviewing and appreciating for inaugurating the Cyber Security Lab.
  • The Governing Council approved the budget and expenditure in 2019-20 and proposal for the year 2020-21.
  • Governing Council reviewed the results of Anna University exam held during Nov / Dec 2019 & confirmation the date of exam for the final year students according to that revise the syllabus for even semester (Apr / May 2020).
  • The Governing Council reviewed the Department wise Webinars organized and attended by the faculty members.
  • The college Governing Council reviewed the faculty members possessing Ph.D Qualification and pursuing Ph.D.
  • Reviewed the curriculum feedback from the students, Teachers, Alumni and Employers and resolved the action taken against curriculum feedback.
