The Anti-Ragging Committee is a statutory body constituted in educational institutions to prevent, prohibit, and eliminate ragging in all its forms and to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming campus environment for students. The committee functions in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions and the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The primary objective of the committee is to protect the physical and psychological well-being of students, especially freshers, and to uphold their dignity, rights, and freedom. It works proactively to create awareness about the serious consequences of ragging, including disciplinary and legal action, and promotes a culture of mutual respect, discipline, and inclusiveness on campus.
