Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. The charge of EEE Department is to facilitate young Engineers with an associate degree with the space of professional skills necessary to accumulate technical exposure within the areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, to face the challenges of the longer term and modify them to search out innovative applications of Technology and nurture career improvement and develop human, social and intellectual qualities necessary for the success of the profession and also to reach the goal of Electrical Power for the development of our Country.

Mission
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of RVSCET Coimbatore, strives:
Develop a high quality electrical engineering graduates with technical and professional skills.
Facilitate industry institution interaction in teaching, learning, and research activities to accomplish the technological needs of the society.
Provide additional skills and training to meet the current needs of the industry.
Encourage faculty to enrich their knowledge through participation in FDPs and research activities.
Head of the Department
Dr. S.S.Sivaraju
Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Dr. S.S. Sivaraju holds a Bachelor’s degree from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (1999) and a Master’s degree in Electrical Machines from PSG College of Technology (2004). He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Drives and Control from Anna University (2013). With over 22 years of teaching experience and six years in the industry, he has published 47 research papers in international journals.
Currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, Dr. Sivaraju specializes in Electrical Machine Design and Renewable Energy. He has received AICTE funding of Rs 90 lakh for the IDEA Lab and has authored multiple technical books. A keynote speaker at various conferences, he is actively involved in research and academic development.
A recipient of multiple accolades, including the Best Teaching Award from Staffordshire University, UK, he has demonstrated excellence in academic leadership, research, and curriculum development. He is also actively involved in organizing conferences, faculty development programs, and industry collaborations.
Dr. Sivaraju is a Senior Member of IEEE and a life member of ISTE, SSI, and IAENG. He serves as a reviewer for IEEE and other reputed journals and is an Associate Editor for several publications. As a recognized Ph.D. supervisor and doctoral committee member at Anna University, he contributes significantly to research guidance.
He has received several academic awards and plays a key role as Chair of the EEE Board and Question Paper Scrutiny Committee Member. Additionally, he has applied for patents in India and Australia and serves as an External Assessor at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. He has also facilitated international collaborations by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions in Malaysia

Apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate complex engineering problems of electric circuits, analog and digital electronics circuits, control systems, electrical machines and Power system.
Apply the appropriate techniques and modern engineering hardware and software tools in electrical engineering to engage in life-long learning and to successfully adapt in multi-disciplinary environments.
Aware of the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal, environmental context, professional ethics and be able to communicate effectively.
